Obituary for Carolyn Sue Carter (Taylor)
Carolyn Sue Carter, 55, of Murphysboro, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at her residence in Murphysboro.
Carolyn was born on August 30, 1959, in Carbondale, to Pearl Taylor, Sr. and Jeanette (Casteel) Taylor.
She had worked at Nutrition Headquarters as a packer.
Carolyn married Jack Carter on December 11, 1981, in Murphysboro, and he survives.
Other survivors include her father of Mississippi, one sister Anna Wardell of Murphysboro, and one brother Pearl Daniel Taylor, Jr. of Carbondale, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother James Taylor.
As per her wishes her body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
