Obituary for Gina M. Essick (Hammerschmidt)
Gina M. (Hammerschmidt) Essick, 59, of Murphysboro, passed away at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Paducah, Kentucky.
Gina was born on June 17, 1955, in Cairo, Illinois, to Russell E. Hammerschmidt and Virginia (Dever) Hammerschmidt.
She had worked in sales for over twenty five years.
Gina is survived by one son Austin Dale Maxton and several cousins including Denny (Pattie) Kortkamp of Carbondale, Mary Marcy of St. Petersburg, FL, and Mike (Barbara) Kortkamp of Murphysboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Virginia Hammerschmidt.
Her body will be cremated and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis C.A.R.E. in her memory. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
