Barbara K  Morber (Biggs)
Barbara K. Morber, 76, of Murphysboro, passed away at 3:55 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident at Hwy 127 and Ava Road, north of Murphysboro.

Barbara was born on September 27, 1938, in Carterville, Illinois, to Walter E. Biggs and Mary Alice (Pieron) Biggs.

She had worked at the First Baptist Church, when she was going to college. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Modern Office Connections in Murphysboro

Mrs. Morber was a member of First Baptist Church in Murphysboro, where she taught Sunday School kindergarten and first graders for many years, and also participated in Vacation Bible School, until her health would not permit.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Her love for Jesus and her family meant everything to her.

She married Melvin W. Morber, Sr. on May 28, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1992.

She is survived by four children and their spouses Melvin "Butch" and Mary Lynn Morber of Harrisburg, Kay and Larry Reiman, Carol Lynn and Larry Baggott, and Gary Morber, all of Murphysboro;

nine grandchildren Christy (Kenny) Shires, Jeremy (Jessica) Morber, Whitney (Brandon) Whitmire, Eric (Destiny) Reiman, Melissa (Eric) Ripley, Kenneth (April) Reiman, Adreanna (Scott) Pilz, Andrew Baggott, Brian Baggott and his girlfriend Erica Seely;

sixteen great grandchildren and one on the way Eli Shires, Molly Shires, and Gabby Shires, Lydia Morber and one great grandson on the way, Drake Whitmire, Brock Whitmire, Bree Whitmire, Felicity Reiman and her fiancée Chris Schroeder, Liberty Reiman, Ethan Reiman, Aaron Ripley and his fiancée April Robinson, Kalyn Ripley, Wyatt Reiman, Isaac Reiman, Logan Reiman, and Austin Reiman;

one great great granddaughter Allyson Ripley;

three brothers L. R Biggs and his wife Ann Biggs of Herrin, Robert Biggs and Gordon Biggs, both of Murphysboro;

two sister in laws Shirley Reiman and her husband Merle Reiman and Avis Barrett and her husband Don Barrett, all of Murphysboro;

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sisters Mary Jean Rathjen, her parents in law John and Minnie Morber and her step mother in law Reba Morber.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Shaker Samuel officiating and burial at Mt. Joy Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 12 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church for the Children's and Youth Program.
