Obituary for Jeannie Mae Schuur
Jeannie Mae Schuur, 22, of Murphysboro, was found at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 2015, at the Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge, Carbondale, Illinois.
Jeannie was born on August 29, 1993, in Murphysboro, to Randy Schuur and Deborah (Launius) Gallegos.
She had worked as a waitress at several area restaurants.
Jeannie loved to play sports especially basketball and volley ball.
She is survived by her mother Deborah Gallegos of Murphysboro;
her grandparents George and Lizzie Launius of Murphysboro and Robert Schuur, Sr. of Colorado;
two brothers Christopher Gallegos and his wife Jessica Gallegos and Nicholas Gallegos, all of Murphysboro;
two nieces Makayla Pelzer and Christina Gallegos, both of Murphysboro;
several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Jeannie was loved by everyone and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, at Pettett Funeral Home, with Rev. Dean Akins officiating, and visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit http://www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
