Obituary for Judy S. Rains
Judy S. Rains, 69, passed away at 8:35 a.m.Friday, March 18, 2016, in Memorial Hospital, in Carbondale.
Judy was born May 22, 1946, in Springfield.
Mrs. Rains was the student advisor for the Zoology Department for 25 years and had worked at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for thirty years. She loved her jobs and loved working with the students in the Zoology Department.
She married Jonathon E. Rains and he survives.
Other survivors include a cousin Lee Smith of Los Angeles, California; and two nieces; and one nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
It was her wish for her body to be cremated. There will be private services.
She had always made donations to the Free Again Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at 4031 Bid Muddy Road, Carterville, IL 62918; so to remember Judy, memorials may be made to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
