Obituary for Allan Wayne Cook
Allan Wayne Cook, 46, of Carbondale, passed away at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Allan was born on June 8, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Raymond L. Cook and Julia "Lou" (Self) Cook.
He loved to cook and he was a cook at The Underground in Carbondale.
Allan is survived by his children Jaren, Olivia, Anika, and Noah Cook and their mother Tachia Smith, and Andrew Cook and Bryant Bond;
three grandchildren Xavier, Morgan, and Gabriel;
his father and step mother Raymond and Mary Cook of Murphysboro;
one sister and brother in law Sonja and Malcom Berry of Marion;
two nephews Dominique Fayne of Tuscola, IL and Malcom Berry, Jr. of Marion, and one niece Kiristien Joyner of Carbondale; and two great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
His body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Pettett Funeral Home with Pastor Louise Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
