Obituary for Alice Jean Wolff (Dunlap)
Alice Jean Wolff, 82, of Vergennes, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the DuQuoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Care in DuQuoin.
Alice was born on May 1, 1934, in Dowell, Illinois, to Alexander Dunlap and Thelma (Siefert) Dunlap.
She had worked as a certified nurse's aide at Pinckneyville Hospital and at area nursing homes.
Mrs. Wolff was a member of Elkville Baptist Church in Elkville.
She was a member of the Murphysboro Jr. Women's Club GFWC-IFWC, the Sweet Adeline's of Carbondale, and the Order of Eastern Star in Murphysboro.
Alice loved to cook.
She is survived by three daughters Samantha Graff and Troy Graff, and Tammi Wolff and Marcy, both of Vergennes, and Tedra Crow and Lawrence Crow of O'Fallon, IL;
four grandchildren Joshua Crow and his wife Ann Crow, Stephen Crow, Kodi Ruble, and Kaley Graff;
six great grandchildren Jillian, Casey, Tanner, Rigdon, Karson, and Makenzie;
four step children Chuck Wolff, Julia Evans, Mary Kay Zimmerman, and Helen Walker;
one brother Danny Dunlap of Newburgh, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby Dunlap and Lewis Dunlap, and her parents.
Her body will cremated. There will be Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Sloan officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Elkville Baptist Church in Elkville. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
