Obituary for Jason Wayne Murphy
Jason W. Murphy, 35, of Murphysboro, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL following cardiac complications resulting from open heart surgery this past June.
Jason was born March 4, 1982 in Sparta, IL to Sharon Murphy.
He was a father, son, brother, partner, & friend to many.
Jason is survived by his mother, Sharon Murphy of Murphysboro; one sister Connie Gentemann; one brother Shawn Murphy;
and his three beloved children, Nathan Creed Murphy 17, Grace Monroe Murphy, 12, & June Carter Murphy, 2.
Jason also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend & fiance Jacquelyn Carter of Murphysboro and ex- wife Sara Szoke Murphy of Carbondale.
Jason loved his children dearly & will forever be missed.
A memorial celebration of life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro.
