Brenda K.  Ritcheson (Anderson)
Brenda K. Ritcheson was pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at her residence in Murphysboro.

Brenda was born on October 7, 1951, in Murphysboro, to Charles Thomas Anderson and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Anderson Aufrecht.

She was a Public Aid Eligibility Assistant for the Illinois Department of Human Services. Brenda enjoyed reading.

She was a member of Christ Community Church in Murphysboro, where, in the past, Brenda had enjoyed singing with the choir. Both Brenda and Burl loved spending time with their grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter and son in law Stephanie and Darrin Mobbs of Dunlap, IL;

one son Keith Ritcheson of Murphysboro;

three grandchildren Benjamin Mobbs and Leah Mobbs of Dunlap, and Kenneth Hiser of Murphysboro;

three sisters Betty Benson and her husband Charles Benson, Mary Jane Hunziker and her husband Robert Hunziker, and Doris Stein, all of Murphysboro, and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Robert Anderson, two sisters Phyllis Hunziker and Deborah Lynn Anderson, and her parents.

Funeral services for Burl and Brenda will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Rick McNeely officiating and burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in memory of Burl and Brenda to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
