Obituary for William Walter "Bill" Clough

William was born on January 11, 1940, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Theron and Hazel (Schmellmyer) Clough.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
After working for thirty four years for AmerenCIPS, Bill retired in 2000 as a Gas Journeyman.
Mr. Clough was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Murphysboro, where he was a member and past president of the Church Council and currently was serving as lay leader.
He helped establish M.B.I. and served as a past president, and continued with the organization serving as secretary until his death.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 127, V.F.W. Post # 7190, and the Moose Lodge.
Bill married Rose Giordano on October 26, 1979, in Ava, Illinois, and she survives.
Other survivors include four sisters Doris McCann of St. Louis, MO, Charlotte Winget of DeSoto, Camilla Rose of Murphysboro, and Ruth Sarensen of Murphysboro;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother John Clough, one sister Sophia Duncan, and his parents.
