Cemetery Locations

At a cemetery, lives are commemorated, deaths are recorded, families are reunited, memories are made tangible and love is undisguised.  Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.

Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not death - of a loved one.  The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people; a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.  A cemetery exists because every life is worth remembering - always. As a convenience we have included a listing the directions of many of the local cemeteries in our area. At the left, this section has been divided in four groups with the names of the cemeteries in alphabetical order grouped A through D, E through K, L through P, and Q through Z.  We have tried to list all the cemeteries that we know of in Jackson County.  We have listed a few in Williamson, Union, and Perry County, because families that we have served are buried there.

A growing number of cemeteries are beginning to publish their own web sites to allow visitors to learn more about their services, fees and applicable bylaws.

If you know of a cemetery in Jackson County that is not on our list, please let us know by contacting us through email at pettettfh@frontier.com or calling us at 618-684-2101 or toll free at 888-684-2101.  Thank you.

Recently, we have learned of a website called www.graveyards.com and in December of 2008, we asked Matt Hucke the coordinator of this site permission to have a link from our website to his. He agreed as long as we give recognition to him for his website.  The website has most of Illinois cemeteries listed by county on it.  So please feel free to link to his website for directions to other Illinois cemeteries.  Also, email him and thank him for all of his work on the website.
