Lucille M.  Fox
Lucille M. Fox, 86, of Eldercare at Birchwood, Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Born in Cicero on the family dairy farm on Sunday, August 30, 1925, she was the daughter of Glenn A. Fox and Laura M. Mosier Fox. She was a graduate of Cicero High School and received her master’s degree from Syracuse University.

At the age of 17, Lucille began her career as a legal secretary at the law offices of Charles B. & C. Edwin Close, Esq., retiring in 2005. A longtime member of the Fort Brewerton Museum, she was also a charter member of the Onondaga County Legal Secretary Assn., Professional Secretaries International (PSI), and bowled for years on the PSI league. She was a partner in the Balu An Rede Estate Sales and Appraisals from 1976 until her retirement in 2005. An avid world traveler, she also enjoyed reading and was a wonderful quilter.

Surviving are her friends of Balu, Barbara Mercurio, Anita Cottrell, and Deborah Warner; cousins, Martha Johnson, Carol Schneider, Merle Hazard, Muriel Aldridge and Jacquelyn Richards; friends, Eleanor Theodore, Atty., Grace Haggerty, and many others.

Family and friends would like to thank the 2nd floor staff of Eldercare at Birchwood for their personal care of Lucille, especially her nurses, Karen and Natalie, and Kitty, at the desk. Their loving and attentive care kept her going.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Lucille will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery.
