Obituary for Wayne Dean Reiman

Wayne Dean  Reiman
Wayne Dean Reiman, 88, of Carbondale, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Manor Court in Carbondale.

Wayne was born on June 14, 1926, in Jackson County, to Rudolph Reiman and Jessie (King) Reiman.

He had served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Mr. Reiman had worked as a electrician at Lustour Corp. in Murphysboro, where he had retired.

He had been a 4-H leader in the 1960's and 1970's and participated in Boy Scouts with his sons.

He was a member and deacon at Murder Baptist Church in Carbondale.

Wayne had married Patricia Ann Crews on September 8, 1947, and she preceded him in death on December 18, 1986.

Then he married Arscele (Layne) Turk on November 28, 1987, and she survives.

Other survivors include his three sons and their wives Mark and Marilyn Reiman of Murphysboro, Alan and Nancy Reiman of Sikeston, MO, and Steve and Martie Reiman of Elgin, IL;

two step children and their spouses Roger and Caron Turk of Parks Lake, IL and Darlene and John Lambert of Grand Wood Park, IL;

three grandchildren Rachel Conner and Janelle Reiman both of the Chicago area, and Lori Reiman of Murphysboro and eight step grandchildren;

three great grandchildren Lilly, Collin, and Chase and eleven step great grandchildren;

one sister Bernardine Schnaare and one sister in law Nevelyn Reiman, both of Murphysboro.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Clifford and Troy Reiman , and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Murdale Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Hicks officiating and burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
