Obituary for Fronie Louise Blackford (Riegger)
Fronie Louise Blackford, 66, of Grand Tower, passed away at 10:21 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Fronie was born on March 23, 1949, in Grand Tower, Illinois, To William Henry Riegger and Shirley May (Lonard) Riegger.
She had worked as a nurse's aid at the former Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro for twenty five years.
Mrs. Blackford was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Assembly in Grand Tower.
Fronie enjoyed being with her grandkids and trying to keep track of her kids and grandkids.
She married Glenn Blackford on June 29, 1989, in Grand Tower and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2012.
Survivors include two sons William Harris and his wife Tammy Harris and Brian Harris, all of Grand Tower;
nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren;
and one brother William Riegger and his wife Peggy Riegger of Murphysboro.
She was preceded in death by one brother Henry Riegger and her parents.
