Obituary for Evelyn L. Cripps (White)
Evelyn L. Cripps, 81, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Evelyn was born on September 22, 1934, in Sandridge, to Oscar White and Arvina (Hines) White.
Mrs. Cripps was Baptist by faith.
She had worked at the former Todd Laundromat for many years and had also worked as a waitress.
Evelyn married Bill Cripps on Dec. 12, 1957, in Perryville, Missouri and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter Carolyn Cripps Collier and her husband Ervin Collier of Carbondale;
six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren;
one brother Albert White and one sister Mary Lou Voyles.
She was preceded in death by one son Billy Jr. Cripps, one daughter Linda Kay Reed, two brothers, one sister and her parents.
Gravesite services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in Crain Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Pettett Funeral Home. For more information, visit http://www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
