Obituary for Ruth A Brown (Walker)
Ruth A. Brown, 92, of DeSoto, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Ruth was born on December 29, 1923, in DeSoto, Illinois, to Frank Walker and Nona Belle (Piper) Walker.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brown was baptized at the Jubilee Tabernacle in DeSoto.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands. She married Clifton Miller and to that union one son was born Earl William Miller. She married Frank A. Brown and to that union one son Frankey Charles Brown was born, and she later married James Ellis Brown.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law Frankey Charles "Charley" and Berta Brown of DeSoto;
one sister Linda Harrison of Elkville; two sisters in laws;
four nieces, three nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by one grandson Frankey Charles Brown, Jr., one sister Norma Caterino, and two brothers Elmer Sonny Walker and Charles "Audie" Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Pettett Funeral Home and burial at DeSoto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit http://www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
