Obituary for Donna Bernice Sanders
Donna Bernice Sanders, 77, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:09 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Carbondale Rehab and Care Center in Carbondale, Illinois.
Donna Bernice was born on May 8, 1939, in Murphysboro, to Don and Dora (Needham) Sanders.
She had attended the Abundant Life Fellowship in Murphysboro.
Bernice loved children with a passion. She also loved her dog and collected dolls.
She is survived by two brothers Larry Sanders and Eldon Sanders and one sister and brother in law Virginia and Jack Heern, all of Murphysboro;
seventeen nieces and nephews, twenty seven great nieces and great nephews, and sixteen great great nieces and great great nephews;
and two sister in laws Betty Sanders of Pomona and Cathy Sanders of DeSoto.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Jerl and Ronnie Sanders, one sister in law Sharon Sanders, one nephew Bruce Sanders, and her parents.
Gravesite services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Murdale Gardens of Memory with Rev. James Easton officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at cemetery. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
