Obituary for Emily L. Jackson (Penrod)
Emily L. Jackson, 74, of Murphysboro, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Emily was born on May 25, 1942, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Ronald Penrod and Louise (Nance) Penrod.
She worked as a home health care giver and she loved animals.
Emily loved the Lord and wanted to serve others.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Alto Pass Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
She married Alfred Jackson on June 3, 2005, in Busby, Illinois, and he survives.
Other survivors include two sisters Joan Hagler and her husband Norris Hagler of Makanda and Ronnie Lipe and her husband Bob Lipe of Carbondale;
one niece and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy Ronald Bruce Penrod.
Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Alto Pass Full Gospel Assembly Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, with Rev. Bill Carter officiating.
