Obituary for Linda K Hernandez (Lee)

Linda K  Hernandez (Lee)
Linda K. Hernandez, 66, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Linda was born on March 18, 1950, in Murphysboro, to Herman Lee, Jr. and Peggy (Bame) Lee.

She had worked as a producer at the Ensign-Bickford Industries at Wolf Lake, Illinois.

Linda liked doing crafts, reading, gardening, and staying at home with her grandkids. She loved to shop!

She married Aurelio Hernandez on September 25, 1979, in Marion, Illinois and he survives.

Other survivors include three children AnaMarie Hernandez of Murphysboro, Rodney Wachsnicht and his wife Linda Wachsnicht of DeSoto, and A. J. Hernandez and his wife Mackenzie Hernandez of Cobden;

five grandchildren Kaitlyn Hernandez, Parker Johnson, Aurelia "Lia' Hernandez, Violet Herandez, and Orion Hernandez;

two brothers and six sisters Gary (Sandy) Lee of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Nancy Lee of Dallas, TX, Linda (Lee) Spradling of Murphysboro, Marsha (Greg) Burris of Carbondale, Cindy (Kevin) Boester, of Murphysboro, Margaret Quigley of Ava, Richard Elhers of Grand Tower, and Phyllis Ferguson of Murphysboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017, at Pettett Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
