Deborah A. Leggans, 60, of Gorham, passed away at 11:21 a.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Deborah was born on December 31, 1956, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Marcus Clutts and Mildred (Sides) Clutts. Mildred later married Ivan Wes Ford, who helped raise Deborah.
She was a mom and a caregiver, and her greatest joy in her life was being with her grandchildren.
Deborah married Floyd "Mike" Leggans on June 6, 1981, in Alto Pass, Illinois and he survives.
Other survivors include three children Shane Clutts of Mt Vernon, IN, Jeremy Leggans and his fiancée Amber Scarborough of Murphysboro, and Stephanie Knop and her husband Justin Knop of Campbell Hill;
two granddaughters Gabby and Kenna and one baby girl on the way;
and two sisters Sharon Gurley of Alto Pass and Barbie Helton of Carterville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her body will be cremated and there will be a memorial service held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Alto Pass with Rev. Randy Wright officiating. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
